Benin is proud of its ambitions in the digital sphere. The Government believes ICTs will be the catalyst for Benin’s economic modernisation, and a driver of social inclusion over the next five years. The medium-term objective is to establish Benin as a leader in providing digital services across West Africa.

€882,680,000 total investment

To achieve this, the Government has simultaneously launched a range of projects that will transform Benin’s digital infrastructure and ensure high-speed internet access across the country. Within five years, 80% of Benin’s territory will have internet access and more than 90,000 net direct jobs will have been created in the digital economy.
